Voices from the Highland Diaspora

FREE Lunchtime Lecture
Thursday 8th May, 1:00pm - 2:00pm

To accompany our 'My heart's in the Highlands' project, we are delighted to welcome historian, Professor Marjory Harper, to lead us through an exploration of the experiences of migration and return, as experienced by Highlanders over the centuries.

The lecture will include images, historical accounts and recordings from interviews undertaken during her research.

Marjory Harper is Professor of History at the University of Aberdeen. Her most recent book, 'Scotland No More? The Scots who left Scotland in the twentieth century', was awarded the Frank Watson Prize by the University of Guelph.
