9.30am - 4.00pm
Inshes Church, Inshes Retail Park, Sir Walter Scott Drive,
Inverness, IV2 3TW
This facilitated one day programme is designed specifically
for operational, service and team managers.
It will take participants through the Progress for Providers (Managers)
self evaluation booklet. This simple
self assessment tool has been developed to help managers think about their
progress in responding to the personalisation and self-directed support agenda
and develop their plans to change and respond.
It is divided into four sections looking at: Knowledge and skills
required; Enabling choice and control; Creating a person centred culture and Action
planning tools and resources.
By the end of the day, those who have attended will have:
A better understanding of the challenges and opportunities
facing organisations and teams in adapting and responding to personalisation
and self directed support.
A clear idea of the areas that need further work and development
in their own service or area.
An action plan for the first steps in addressing these
issues.
The course will be facilitated by Louise Close of Helen
Sanderson Associates. As noted above,
this course is designed to be of specific use to managers with operational,
service and/or team responsibilities.
There is no cost in attending this course which has been
organised by In Control Scotland and is funded through a grant received from
Scottish Government to develop provider capacity and innovation in relation to
self directed support.
