Regional Training
Headway are committed to raising awareness of the
difficulties facing people who suffer brain injuries and their
carers, and improve the knowledge and skills of people
working with them. To do this we provide training in these issues to
professionals, volunteers, carers and survivors.
The training is designed to be interactive and engaging to ensure delegates
reach the learning outcomes.
Understanding Brain Injury
This interactive workshop will give delegates solid foundation knowledge of
brain injury and its effects on the survivor and their carers/family.

It not only goes through mechanisms, classifications and causes of brain injury
but enables the delegates to work more effectively with survivors by
developing strategies to enable them to communicate and adapt their
working practices.
Date
The Understanding Brain Injury will be running on
 Thursday 21st
 November 2013 - Inverness
How to book
The workshop is free for Headway staff/volunteers and £90 + VAT per day for
professionals and others. There is a £5 per place discount for bookings of four
delegates or more.
To book a place on either of the courses please simply fill out an online
booking form at http://www.headway.org.uk/training-booking-form.aspx
