Volunteers needed at Loch Ness Duathlon for the British Heart Foundation Scotland

This event will take place on Saturday 24th August and I am looking for volunteers who could help out a few hours on the day around Fort Augustus and Inverness.

Roles are as below:

·         Route marshal – cheer for participants, report any issues/injuries to the Event Manager (based at different points along the route – we can provide transport)
·         Water stop marshal – give out bottles of water, report any issues/injuries to the Event Manager (based at different points along the route – we can provide transport)
·         Registration/Finish marshal – Help out at the registration desk in the morning and welcome participants back, hand out medals and water at the end in Inverness Canal Park rugby pitches.
·         Start marshal – Help at Fort Augustus in the morning – assist any participants looking for directions, assist transition set-up. (we can provide transport to Fort Augustus)

The event starts in Fort Augustus and finishes in Inverness  and covers both sides of the loch.  Therefore route marshals will be at various spots along the route and duration will depend on the location.

We will give everyone a BHF marshal tabard, water and lunch for the day.  We can reimburse any travel expenses as well.

We’re hoping to raise over £40,000 from this event so any volunteers will contribute to BHF’s work fighting for every heartbeat.
