High Flyer magazine

After the fantastic success of the first five issues of High Flyer magazine we are excited to bring you details of the eagerly anticipated issue 6 which is due out in February 2015.

HIGH FLYER is the unique magazine dedicated to Glasgow, its airport, passengers and destinations both at home and abroad, and captures the essence of Glasgow as a city that is vibrant, exciting, and rich in heritage and history.

Our editor, Karen Peattie, talks to travel guru Bill Munro, chairman of the hugely successful independent business Barrhead Travel as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. Scott Taylor, chief executive of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, talks about the organisation's role in bringing world-class events to Scotland.

Ryanair
Our intrepid editor shares a cup of tea and a Tunnock’s Teacake with the colourful character that is Michael O’Leary, the irrepressible boss of budget airline Ryanair which has recently established a key base at Glasgow Airport.

Holiday inspiration
In this issue we focus on the ever-endearing Dublin. Check out what to do in this beautiful and lively city on a weekend break. And if you’re planning a trip stateside, did you know that Dublin Airport offers pre-clearance to the USA on the Aer Lingus direct flights to San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago and Orlando? Our shopping guru John Amabile, star of Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover, picks his favourite products from the brilliant shops at Glasgow Airport, including seasonal trends in clothes, accessories and the luxury products that are available in the many shops at the airport.

Meet and Greet
This issue our editor also meets Gregor Townsend, Head Coach of the amazing Glasgow Warriors, actor Gary Hollywood, one of the stars of the phenomenon that is Mrs Brown’s Boys and Glasgow’s very own hairdresser to the stars, Taylor Ferguson.

2015 - Year of Food and Drink Scotland
