Celebrate is a lottery fund jointly run by the Big Lottery Fund, Creative Scotland, Heritage Lottery Fund and sportscotland.
It provides grants in the range of £500 to £10k for projects that allow communities come together to hold arts, heritage, sports and local community celebrations of the 2014 Commonwealth Games or to celebrate the diversity of the Commonwealth and create a legacy of community and Commonwealth connections.
Due to heavy demand for funding, an extra £0.5m has been added to the £4m budget
However, it has also been announced that Celebrate will close for new applications at noon on 30th May 2014
The current success rate for the programme is 70%
So, if you are intending or know of any group/organisation that would like to apply to for Celebrate funding please let them know about the new deadline date for applications

Please remember too that, as previously advised, the lottery is “pausing” applications to the Awards for All scheme between noon on 9th May until noon on 4th August 2014.
