Event Supporter - Headway Highland

Ref 40 - 1897

This Scottish charity (SC 023551) based in the Highlands, affiliated to Headway – the brain injury association, is going through a crucial stage of development. A recent skills audit of the current trustees identified a need for more volunteers of various experiences.
The charity’s objectives include improving the welfare of people who have suffered brain injury and to provide support to their carers. The group is currently expanding its services to areas outwith Inverness, support groups have now been established in Fort William and Caithness. Further groups are planned for Skye, Oban and Ullapool before the end of 2013.
Headway Highland is looking for cheerful and outgoing people to join them at occasional fundraising events or social gatherings. No special skills are needed just being able to provide a sympathetic understanding to those with a brain injury, be non-judgemental, like to have a bit of fun and can organise activities when necessary.
